AGNES B. LALLY (nee Dusic) age 98, loving Mother of Marcia Chalkwater (Jerry, deceased) of North Olmsted, Kathleen Lally of West Palm Beach and Anyez "Pinky" Strawser of North Olmsted. Beloved "Gram" of Joseph, Anthony, Michael, David (Jean), Gerald (deceased), Stephen, Daniel (Sarah), Sean (deceased), Brian (Stephanie). Treasured Great Gram of Holly (Ryan), Jacob, Jordan, Kendall, Kristina, Catherine, Nicole, David, Matthew, Alexandra, Rebecca, Gerald Jr., Lawrence, Connor, Charlotte, Addison, Amelia. Remarkable Great, Great Gram of Wolfgang, Scarlett, Fiona, Skylar, Jameson, Elainah, Coleson, Jaxon and Cole. Sister of the late Mary Ann Chaney (Dusic). Affectionately called "Aunt Aggie" by many, Peacefully passed away in her own home, May 21, 2024.
Agnes' mother Blanche sailed into New York Harbor in 1907, when she was only a year and a half old, accompanied by her mother and 9 month old sister Katie. In 1925, Agnes was born,1st Generation Citizen of the USA. 9 years later, she helped her grandfather study for and pass his US Citizenship test. Agnes began donating blood to the Red Cross at the beginning of World War 2. Her type O negative blood type helped to save many lives, considering she donated 14 Gallons in her lifetime, until she couldn't give anymore, due to lower iron levels. After Agnes retired, she did a variety of volunteer work, and was recognized with an honor for her significant service to the community. Agnes was an avid bowler for over 40 years, a hobby she shared with her daughters. Agnes was especially committed to and proud of the regular exercise she got from "going to the pool" several days a week for 26 years at the N.O. Recreation Center.
Funeral Mass Wednesday May 29, St. Richard Church (26855 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 10 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN ROAD, AT STEARNS, TUESDAY 4-7 P.M.
