ALAN M. KUMF, 70, died Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Concord Reserve in Westlake, Ohio.
Alan was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a 1968 graduate of Cathedral Latin High School and a 1972 graduate of John Carroll University. Alan loved life and was known by everyone who lived in Kamm's Corner. He was happiest reading, writing poetry, listening to music, drinking iced coffees, completing the NY Times crossword puzzle, watching Jeopardy, visiting NYC and Cleveland restaurants as well as spending time with his family and friends.
Alan was predeceased by his mother Florence Kumf (nee Kreczmer) and his father Anthony Kumf. He is survived by his sister Marsha Lipcsey and husband William Lipcsey of Cleveland, his brother Scott Kumf and wife Donna Heinsohn Kumf of Milford, MA, his niece Michelle Lipcsey of Tiffin, OH and nephews Thomas Lipcsey of Cleveland, Brian Kumf of New York City and Patrick Kumf of Rye, NY.
The wake will be on Friday, July 30 th from 4-6 pm at Chambers Funeral Home, 4420 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church, 2486 West 14 th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113 supporting the Hunger Center which provides food and clothing for the poor and homeless.
