ALFRED LEPKA, age 79 passed away peacefully on October 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cleveland on May 6, 1938. Son of the late Kathryn (nee Mikulek) and Alfred Lepka; beloved husband of the late Bridget (nee Masterson); devoted father of Elizabeth Staunton (Thomas) and Shirley Masterson; grandfather of Celia, Joseph, Thomas and James; brother of Lucille Coleman (Tom), Vincent (Ellen) and Louise Crume (deceased)(Bill); beloved uncle to many, both near and far; brother-in-law of Martin (Philomena)(both deceased), Patrick (deceased)(Ann), Brian (deceased)(Mary), Anthony (deceased), Nora Loates (Danny)(both deceased) and Kathy Ryan (Frank).
Proudly Deaf, he was a devoted advocate for the Deaf. He was kind and brilliant and with his engineering mind he was able to fix and repair just about anything. He was corny and funny and loved to make people smile and laugh and for this reason has amassed many friends through the years. He was proudly Irish by marriage.
He was one of a kind, a gentle soul, and will be sorely missed by all. He would tell us all that now he is listening to songs of the Angels in Heaven and by the Grace of God is now reunited with his beloved wife Bridget.
