ALLAN A. HOCHSCHILD, age 87. Beloved husband of 64 years to Jackie (nee Demshar); father of Linda Morris (Mark) (the late Brian Ginley), Lori Krzeminski (Kevin), Terri Smith (Ken) (the late Larry Weiskittel), Tami Farabaugh (Ernie), Traci Carlino (Dave) and Amy Quinlan (John); Pappa of Kevin, Heather (Tim), Michael (Katie), Brett, Adam, Dan (Alexandra), Tim (Emme), Mallory (Mitch), Abby, Samantha, Jacob, Bella, Adeline, Jack and Avalyn; great-pappa of Melody, Harlow, Brixley and Holsten; brother of Carol Kruger, Joyce Shonkwiler and the late Laverne Cobbs; uncle and friend of many. Al was the trusted and loyal owner of Al’s Auto Service.

Al was a self-employed auto mechanic for over 64 years. His customers thought he was a legend because he was fair, honest and generous. This admiration is reflected in Al’s work ethic that led to him being the recipient of the Kamms Corner #1 auto shop award for the last several years. He was also recently recognized by Business Rate for being the Top Auto Repair Shop in Cleveland. He has served generations of families. Al’s customers loved him and he loved them back. In 1961 Al married Jackie and they honeymooned in Ocean City, MD. This is “where it all began” and OC became his family’s favorite summer vacation destination for decades. Al enjoyed the ocean, the boardwalk, and the special treats he waited for all year - Thrasher’s French fries and Dumser’s ice cream. Countless memories were made and will forever be treasured by Jackie, his children and grandchildren. Al’s family finds great peace and comfort knowing he is sitting at the end of a pier fishing with his dad.

Passed away March 1, 2026. Funeral Service Saturday, March 7, at 11:00 AM in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS where friends may call FRIDAY 3-7 PM.
