Allan Lee Sebastian, born December 21, 1942, passed away suddenly from heart complications on May 17, 2026.
Allan was the beloved husband of Betty Ann Sebastian (née Frick) (deceased), with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Patricia Zito (née Sebastian) (Thomas Zito) and Scott Sebastian (Jelena), and the proud grandfather of Tommy and Zach Zito, and Liya and Brianna Sebastian. Allan was also a cherished Uncle to many members of the Phillips, Graham, and Frick families, and a loyal friend to many throughout his life.
Born to Betty Lemke and Eugene Sebastian (both deceased), Allan was raised primarily by his grandparents, Harold and Charlotte Phillips (deceased), who played a central role in his upbringing. He is survived by his Uncle Russell Phillips (Helen) and step sister Susan. Allan also had Uncle Glenn Phillips (Dorothy) (deceased), and four brothers from his mother’s side.
Allan honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his service, he spent the majority of his career at J & L Steel/LTV Steel, where he worked as a motor inspector and instrument repair technician. Dedicated to service and fellowship, Allan was a proud Mason and longtime Shriner, recently receiving his 50‑year Masonic pin in recognition of his decades of commitment.
A devoted member of Brook Park United Methodist Church, Allan served on the Board of Trustees and supported the church community in many ways. In the 1980s, he owned and operated SideCutter Enterprise, a T‑shirt business that competed with Daffy Dan’s and reflected his entrepreneurial spirit.
Allan had a lifelong love of Harley‑Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the Elyria HOG Chapter. He enjoyed traveling—especially to Myrtle Beach—spending time with family, and cheering on his children in their athletic and Brook Park Rangerette competitions. A true animal lover and an avid Cleveland sports fan, Allan rarely missed a Browns, Cavs, or Guardians game.
Allan’s kindness, humor, loyalty, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the friendships he built, and the many lives he touched.
