ALMA JEAN KOST

ALMA JEAN KOST (Nee Ousley) age 92, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, after a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Alma Jean was born on September 24, 1933, in Risner, Kentucky, to Oscar and Rosie Ousley. She was a devoted wife to her husband, George John Kost, who preceded her in death.

Family was the center of Alma Jean’s life. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Georgia Kost; Patricia Kost (Shelly Leonhardt); Kathy Miller (Ronald); and Karen Yeager (Jeffery).

She took great pride and joy in her grandchildren: Jessica Snider; Jake Snider (Hannah); Samantha Schaeg (Matthew); Nicole Griffith (Gabe); Kylie Peele (James); and Jack Yeager (Carter). She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Calvin Yeager.

Alma Jean’s legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Makayla and Landon Dreibelbis, Benjamin and Brayden Alsip, Brooklynn Schlesing, Max Griffith, and Josie Snider.

Those who knew Alma Jean will remember her for the love she gave so freely to her family and for the special place she held in the hearts of those around her. Her greatest joy was the family she built, and the love she shared with each generation will continue to live on through them.

Though she will be deeply missed, Alma Jean’s memory will remain a lasting blessing to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
