ANNA M. ANTAL (nee Sauerwald) age 94. Beloved wife of the late Robert Antal and Doctor C. Phillips; loving mother of Debra Novak (Craig), Aundrea Reel (Craig), Dean (Judi) and Jeffery (Erin); grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of 13; sister of the late Heinz Sauerwald, Paul Sauerwald, Adolph Sauwerwald, Georg Sauerwald and Ulla Uckermann; aunt of many, passed away June 16, 2024.

Anna married, immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1952, and had 4 children. Her first husband, Doc, passed away in 1965. Determined to raise 4 children on her own, she made the choice to stay in Ohio rather than move back to Germany in order to give her children a better life.  She was blessed to meet Robert Antal, also a widower.  Anna and Robert (Bob) were married from 1968 until Bob's untimely passing 1983.  Oma, as she was called by all, was known by children and grandchildren for her relationship with God, her love of all things German and her quick wit. She lived a rich life through her family and will be greatly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 28, Holy Trinity Catholic Church (33601 Detroit Rd.) at 10:00 AM. Inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery.
