ANNE C. ZELTEN

Anne Zelten, 70, of Olmsted Falls, OH, passed away on May 5. She was the loving wife of Dave Zeber; proud and loving mother of Mike Zeber (Chloe Topolski); doting dog grandmother to Ranger; beloved daughter of Donald and Joan Zelten; big sister to Jeanne Zelten, Caren Kenney Preston (Joe), Peter Zelten (Sheryl), and Mary Zelten; sister-in-law to Philip Zeber, Laura Maloney (Bob), Ray Zeber, Nancy Spicuzza (Joe), Susie Kohansall (Enaiat), Judy George (Tom), and Rick Zeber (Bonnie); and proud aunt to her many nieces, nephews, and their children.

Anne was a dedicated medical professional with a background in dietetics, nursing, and massage therapy. She worked tirelessly caring for patients from all walks of life, including those affected by HIV/AIDS, comforting hospice patients both as a nurse and volunteer, and serving as an inner-city school nurse. She had a remarkable gift for helping others feel cared for, seen, and less alone.

She traveled extensively, both on her own and with family, visiting more than 45 states and numerous countries throughout her life.

Anne was a prolific gardener who lovingly tended plants for both food and beauty. She read, researched, and wrote with endless curiosity and determination, always searching for answers and solutions.

She volunteered with many organizations in her community, including the Olmsted Falls Garden Club, Troop 201 Scouting America, the Olmsted Food Bank, and Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Anne is deeply missed and will be remembered for her tenacity, creativity, resilience, kindness, and deep love for others.

A celebration of Anne’s life and love will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to Camp Pheonix for burn survivors or National Alliance for Mental Illness.
