ANTHONY JOHN "AJ" TAYLOR, age 10, of Cleveland, Ohio, left this world unexpectedly due to complications of bacterial meningitis on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
AJ was a vibrant, adventurous, and loving soul who brought light and joy to everyone he met. He embraced life with boundless energy and an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. A lover of exploration, AJ's infectious smile and warm heart deeply touched his classmates and teachers at Westropp Elementary School, as well as neighbors and special friends in the community.
AJ is lovingly remembered by his mother, Lauren Taylor, his father Tyler Pelkey, his grandfather, Ronald Taylor, grandmother Laura Burawa, and his great-grandmother, Nana Mary Ann Calala. He is also survived by his Uncles Norm, Brian, Tim, Johnathon, and Daniel, his loving Aunts Kathy, Megan, and Denise, and his many cousins including Tonya, Bridget, Jaclyn, Kevin, Matthew, Niki, Sami, Jackson, Baylee, and Emma. AJ was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Papa Greg Calala. Additionally, AJ was supported and cherished by countless others, including extended family, teachers, classmates, and friends, who will forever hold his memory close.
In his final act of selflessness, AJ became an organ donor, giving others the precious gift of life. His family takes solace in knowing AJ's generosity and kind spirit will continue to make a difference in the world, leaving a legacy of hope and healing.
A celebration of AJ's life will be held at a later date. The family kindly requests that memorial donations be directed to AJ's Legacy Go Fund Me or autism support services, which played a meaningful role in AJ's life. The family thanks On Target ABA Autism Therapy Center for their impactful contributions to AJ's journey.
AJ, you were a beacon of light in our lives. Though we can no longer hold you in our arms, you will live on forever in our hearts. Rest peacefully our sweet boy, we love you endlessly.
