BARBARA M. MIOTTI (nee Carlson) age 93, of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away October 31, 2023.

Barbara was born March 20, 1930, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Anna-Lisa and Olaf Carlson. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1948 and the Bryant & Stratton Business School in 1950 with a degree in Business Accounting, Secretarial. Barbara also attended Niagra University.

She was employed by the General Electric Co. in Niagra Falls and Buffalo, New York for 17 years, where she met her future husband, Frank Miotti of Stambugh, Michigan who was also employed by GE in Buffalo at that time. They were married in Jamestown, N.Y. in 1968. Following their marriage, they continued with GE in Milwaukee, St. Louis and Cleveland until retirement.

Barbara was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Olmsted, Ohio. She belonged to the Salvation Army in Jamestown, N.Y. many years ago where she taught Sunday School and was a Corp Cadet graduate. During the summer months, she and Frank attended the Grace Covenant Church in Stambaugh, Michigan.

She worked as a volunteer at St. John's Hospital in Westlake, Ohio for over 10 years and was a member of their Auxiliary where she served as Vice President for one term. She was also a member of the National Secretaries Association where she served as Recording Secretary.

She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, reading, traveling and cooking. She also enjoyed spending many summers at Chicagon Lake in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Barbara is survived by her son Steven David (Deana), two grandchildren, Courtney and Quinn, all of Cumming, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by husband Frank on October 21, 2023.

A memorial service will be held in Stambaugh, Michigan at a later date.
