BEN "SPIKE" GILYON, age 88, beloved husband of 62 years to Joan (nee Wickert); loving father of Sue Quiring, Kathy Aten (Stan, deceased) and Bill Gilyon; beloved Grandpa of Daniel Quiring (Amy), Nick Quiring (Lindsay), Jaymie Laughlin (Ben), Tevon Rease, Shannon Rease, Christopher Gilyon and Alexis Aten; great-grandfather of six.  Passed away August 13, 2024.  U.S. Army veteran.  Spike loved to bowl, loved to play golf, loved to gamble, loved Cleveland sports, especially the Indians.  He loved everybody he came into contact with and they loved him.  He was so full of wit and wisdom and really embraced the life he lived.  Spike retired after many years of service at Republic Steel/LTV Steel.  Funeral Service Saturday, August 17, at 3:00 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of BEREA, 86 ADALBERT ST.
