Betty was a community activist that fought hard for what was right and humane, a rare characteristic these days. She loved animals and her friends. In recent years, Betty really missed her cat "baby". Betty loved both local and national politics; she fought hard for democratic values and served as a precinct committee person. One of those activism directed projects led to the creation of the Gunning Park Multi-Purpose Senior Center. Generations' facility (Berea) became her new home in recent months and the care and kindness she received albeit short will be forever noted by those who loved her.
