BRAD L. STUDD, age 72, passed away on November 25, 2021. Devoted and most loving husband of Karen M. for 27 wonderful years of marriage.  Loving father of Dawn (deceased) and Robert (Karen); dearest grandfather of Tabatha and Elijah; son of Clifford and Mary Ethel (both deceased); loving son-in-law of Joan; beloved brother of Patricia Lou Hanna (deceased), Delores Matusicky (Albert Fisher), Susie Jurkiewicz (Roger), Donna Phoenix (Dave); cherished brother-in-law and loving uncle to ten nieces and nephews and their families.  He also leaves behind many dear friends that he knew through his work and mine, the clubs that we belonged to and our campground family.

Brad was happily retired for over eleven years after working for Arcelor Mittal/ISG/LTV/Republic Steel for 41 years. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local #979.

He was a member of Northeastern Ohio Live Steamers for 18 years. Before he even joined the club, he built and donated several riding cars for the club engine. Brad spent many hours working on ground track and sometimes I was right by his side helping him get a job completed. He was the Ground Track Superintendent for 12 years which was no easy job for him. He also did anything else that needed to be done and helped whoever needed help.  It was all for the love of trains and making people happy.  He also served the club as president.

Brad was also a supporting member of Lake Shore Live Steamers for 15 years and Erie Metro Live Steamers for 2 years.  He didn't get to those clubs often but made many friends there and helped when he could.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Brunswick where he enjoyed meeting up with friends.

Brad was a seasonal camper at Hickory Lakes Campground for 16 years where he loved to spend his summers.  He found great joy in feeding and watching the birds and hummingbirds with the peaceful view of the lake in the background.  He made many friends there and was always willing to lend a helping hand or just sit and visit.

The true measure of a man is shown through his life's journey, in the lives he's enriched and the legacy of kindness he has given along the way.  Hopefully he will live on in all of your hearts as he will in mine.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
