BRIAN PHILIP NEDWEK, age 82, passed away peacefully from Covid complications on October 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was a beloved husband to Judy (nee Weber) and dear father to Elizabeth Grace and Sarah Nedwek. He was a deeply present Grandfather to Ryan, Connor, Caroline, Isaac, Lou and Vie. He was both a father-in-law and friend to Patrick Grace and Gregory Stevens.

Brian was a gifted university administrator and scholar with a curiosity for knowledge and penchant for debate. He was an avid golfer, sensitive photographer, adventurous chef, world traveler, talented writer but above all friend to countless. His extraordinary sense of humor was a gift to all who knew him and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

As Brian taught us in his recent essay published in the Cleveland Plain Dealer,"There may be the physical loss, but does not that person live on in our memories? The key to a fuller life is realizing it as an intricate set of interdependencies that never cease. Change, yes, but never die."

The family appreciates the wonderful care and limitless concern demonstrated by Dr. Allison Winter. The ICU team at the Cleveland Clinic, especially Dr. Christian Cullivier Padilla, was a source of great comfort to the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for his Funeral Mass Saturday, November 18, St. Raphael Church (525 Dover Center Rd., Bay Village) at 10:30 A.M. where friends may call 9:30 A.M.
