CARL L. KELLEY, age 89, beloved son of the late Lestie Mae (nee Collier) and William E. Kelley; loving brother of the late Edith, James, Bill and Jean Klembeck; dear uncle, great-uncle, mentor and friend of many. Proud U.S. Army veteran. He was a millwright at the American Shipyard and General Motors, where he retired from. He loved spending time with his family, lifelong friends, great neighbors and his cats. Carl will always be remembered for his incredible stories. His loyalty and generosity with his time and talents will never be forgotten. He had a passion for boating, fishing and golfing. Carl was an honorary member of the Cuyahoga Astronomical Association and instrumental in engineering the CCA's observatory and several club telescopes. He was an avid member of the Erie Shore Ski Club, which he continued to ski until a few years ago. He was a volunteer for the Cleveland Sight Center's golf league. Friends and members of the Unitarian Church were his extended family. Passed away September 26, 2021. Memorial Service Saturday, October 23, at 11 A.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Comfort & Care Hospice of Eliza Jennings of Olmsted Falls, would be appreciated.
