CATHERINE B. ARCURI

CATHERINE B. ARCURI (nee Sheets), age 97, beloved wife of 72 years to the late Thomas; loving mother of Lea Arcuri, Lesa Kaesberger (Frank) and Thomas Arcuri; devoted grandmother of Lisa Arcuri and great-grandmother of Damien, Auryellos and Marcellino Arcuri-Hennessee; daughter of the late Pearl (nee McCarty) and Arthur Sheets; sister of the late Raymond Sheets and half-sister of Ward and Jack Sheets; dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.  Born and raised in West Virginia, Catherine married her husband, Thomas, in 1954 in Fairmount, WV.  They moved to Cleveland where they started their family.  Catherine was extremely self-sufficient. She sold homemade fudge in the 1960s to support her family while her husband was on strike at Republic Steel.  She was a long-time employee of Ohio Savings Bank and enjoyed re-upholstering furniture in her spare time and served as Treasurer for many years of the First District Community Meetings.  Catherine was a Cleveland crossing guard for 36 years until age 89 and sold Avon products until age 94.  Passed away at home on July 18, 2026.  Funeral Service Thursday, July 23, at 11 A.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND (4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS), where friends may call WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 4 P.M. - 7 P.M.  Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
