CATHERINE BURKE (nee Marrie), 89, of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 27, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family when she went home to be with the Lord. Catherine was the beloved wife of Thomas A. Burke (deceased) for 58 years, both from Tourmakeady, County Mayo, Ireland. Loving mother of Thomas P., John (Nancy), Michael, Jean Hanna Burke, Mary McDonnell (Daniel), Cathy Emmighausen (Max), Brigid Cammack (David), Matt (Sibyl), Peggy Congin (Gary), Patrick, Theresa Horton (Mike) and Joseph. Loving grandmother of 28 and great grandmother of 46. We were blessed to have had the most wonderful mother in the world. She taught us about love, family and the importance of faith and forgiveness.
