CATHERINE EILEEN McNEELA age 67. Passed away Sept. 5, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Bridget (nee McFadden) and Patrick McNeela; sister of John (the late Trudy)(Katy); Mary Ann and Kevin (Karla). Eileen was retired after a long career in nursing at Fairview Hosp. and Akron Mercy Hosp. She continued to provide visiting nurse services after retirement. Her passion was for the care and well-being of animals. A noted dog trainer, breeder, and volunteer at animal shelters. Additional volunteer and contributor to many organizations including assisting military families, Humane Society, APL, American Cancer Society and numerous other organizations. Her donations of her skilled crocheting creations brought happiness to many. Member and volunteer of the West Side Irish American Club. Eileen had a life of giving to others. Her happiness was to make others happy. She gave but never asked. Many cousins and friends will miss her joyful presence. Funeral Mass Wednesday Sept. 11, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Dr.) at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
