CECILY HOPE BERKOPEC, age 48. Loving daughter of Janet (nee Lucas) and Frank Berkopec; dear sister of Deirdre Roselli (Patrick), Heather Sauer (Michael) and Frank (Nicole); special aunt of Jacob and Marlo; niece and friend of many.

She was in a word: Fierce. "I can do it myself" was her resounding chorus throughout her life and she did. Whether it was asking to be included in mainstreamed classes in high school, learning how the seating software worked at the Olive Garden hostess station, or walking up to anyone she met and introducing herself, she was an undeniable force of nature. Her impact was felt by each life she touched, inspiring those around her to see her bravery and courage as she faced all of life's challenges, big and small. She will be missed for her sweet smile, her tinkling little laugh, her mighty hugs, her tears of joy and of course, her awesome dance moves. Rest In Peace, dearest Cecily.
