Charles D. "Thumper" Schulz, Sr., of Timberlake, age 63, passed away July 18, 2014 surrounded by his wife and children. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Philbin); loving father of Ann Misterka (Scott), Patricia, Maureen, William (Angela), and Charles D. Jr.; doting grandfather to Delia, Quinn, Maxwell, Harrison, Nicholas and Charlotte Misterka; brother of Karen Kershner (Robert), Ann Donley (Gary), and Gregory; uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear friend of Kevin Oliver Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Grace Schulz and brother Daniel Schulz. More than anything, Charlie loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and singing, and was a long time member of the Lakeland Civic Chorus. Charlie was a proud US Navy Veteran. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. Justin Martyr Church (35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake). Interment All Souls Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday, July 24 at the MONREAL FUNERAL HOME 35400 CURTIS BLVD., EASTLAKE.
