CHERYL A. SOCKOL (nee Murray), age 63, died peacefully with her daughters by her side, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. She was the cherished mother of Pamela Downs and Tami Underwood; loving grandmother of Mark and David Underwood and Jackson Downs; beloved daughter of James F. Murray and loving sister of James F. Murray, Jr. Cheryl was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark David Sockol, her devoted mother Audrey F. Murray and her cherished sister Kathleen Ropelewski. Cheryl is the dear aunt of 3 nieces and 3 nephews and great aunt of 7. Cheryl earned the recognition of Who's Who of American Nurses and was a devoted geriatric nurse. She leaves behind many cherished co-workers she considered valuable friends. Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 13, 2010, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland) at 10:00 a.m. Interment The Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, OH.
