CHRISTINE M. CSIZIK (nee Granitto) age 59, beloved wife of the late Frank A., loving mother of Mark and Sam, dear daughter of Donna (nee Stilliana) and Joseph Granitto, sister of Matt Granitto (Meg), aunt of Chrissy Janko (Steve) and Ashley, Matthew and Lauren Granito, much loved niece, cousin and dear friend of many. Passed away September 12, 2025.

Christine, affectionately known as Chrissy to all who knew and loved her, grew up in Poland, Ohio. She was a member of the Lake to River Girl Scouts for 7 years and studied dance (ballet on pointe, tap, and jazz) for 12 years.   She graduated from Poland High School in 1984.  She then went on to attend Bowling Green State University where she graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree with a focus in Child and Family Services.  Chrissy devoted her life and career to the field of Social Work, including spending a large part of her working years as a private adoption social worker.  She worked for many years as an Adoption Coordinator for Adoption by Gentle Care as well as European Adoption Consultants.  She finished up her working years at Southwest General Hospital as an on staff Social Worker.

The social work field suited Chrissy perfectly as she was extraordinarily kind and compassionate, and believed all deserved care, comfort, safety, and respect.   She was very friendly and social.  Above all, though, she was a loyal friend.  Her friend group is large and devoted.  She maintained close relationships with friends she met as a young girl growing up in Poland, as well as many she met in college and thereafter.  Besides her husband and family, her friends were the most important part of her life.  If you asked anyone to describe Chrissy, they would all say, "She was everyone's friend.  She was the most caring person, always had a smile on her face, and loved her boys fiercely."

Chrissy met Frank in 1993 and it was love at first sight.   They married in 1996.  In 2002 their son, Mark, was born, and in 2005 their son, Sam, was born.  From day one, they were devoted to each other and to their boys.  Mark and Sam were the absolute center of their world.  They were beyond proud of both Mark and Sam, and cherished every moment they had with them.  This beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, family member, and friend will be sincerely missed by all.

Funeral Mass Friday. September 19, The Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd. North Olmsted) at 11 A.M. where friends may call FRIDAY ONE HOUR PRIOR TO MASS AT THE CHURCH OF ST. CLARENCE. LUNCHEON to follow at Noon at the Church.
