DANIEL M. "MICKEY" CORCORAN, age 75, beloved husband of Diana Corcoran (nee Snyder); loving father of Christina Seghy (Tony) and Shannon; beloved grandfather of Bridget and Alex Seghy; dearest brother of Robert (deceased)(Sharon), Catherine Dyko (the late James) and Rose Smith (James); uncle of many.

Dan was actively involved in both the Columbus and Cleveland Irish Communities. He was a member of the Greater Cleveland Feis Society, serving as Treasurer and President. For many years, he served as the National Registrar for the North American Feis Commission where he was responsible for the registration and scheduling of all feisanna in Canada and the United States.

In 1980, the Greater Cleveland Feis Society appointed Dan to serve as their Delegate to the United Irish Societies of Greater Cleveland St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. He served as its Executive Director from 2007 through 2010. He was chosen as the Parade's Inside Co-Chair in 1987, and as the Parade's Grand Marshal in 2015.

Dan joined the Boland-Berry Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in 2006; and was the Division's Secretary when he was called home.

His other Irish involvements included the Shamrock Club in Columbus, the West Side Irish American Club Inc., the Irish Heritage Club, and the Gaelic Society where he and his wife Diana learned to Irish Dance and competed in adult ceili competitions.

Dan was a parishioner of St. Raphael's Church for 48 years, where he served as a Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister.

Dan spent the bulk of his career working for the "phone company" – Ohio Bell, Western Electric, Lucent Technologies and AT&T. He retired in 1995, and spent the next decade as a consultant.

Some of his other passions included reading, painting, travelling, and American and Irish history.

Dan and Diana celebrated their 54 ^th anniversary on September 1, 2016.

He passed away on January 7, 2017.

Funeral Mass is Thursday, Jan. 12, at St. Raphael Church (525 Dover Center Road, Bay Village) at 10:30 A.M. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED 29150 LORAIN RD.
