DAVID A. GOMERSALL, age 77, beloved husband of 56 years of Elinor (nee Taylor); loving father of David C. Gomersall and Beth Tressler; caring and devoted "PaPa" to George, Ethan and Elinor Tressler; dear brother of Edward (deceased), Joy Cady (deceased) and Jeanne Gabiati (Ernie); proud uncle and great-uncle.  David was born on October 13, 1940 in Ashland, OH and was raised in Cleveland where he graduated from John Marshall High School in 1958 and Cleveland State University in 1967.  He lived the majority of his life in North Olmsted, where he raised his family, and was a resident of Bay Village for the past 20 years.  David was a business owner, fisherman, hunter, boater, avid traveler and poker player with a lifelong quest for new experiences.  A successful Certified Public Accountant, David established Gomersall & Associates in 1963 which he grew and expanded and later sold in 2003.  He continued his career in investment management and went on to start Cornerstone Wealth Management in 1996.  David was a past President of Kiwanis.  His professional achievements included being President of the Firelands Chapter of the Ohio Society of C.P.A., he served on the Waterhouse Securities Advisory Board, and was a Member of NIFAP - National Independent Financial Advisory Panel.  He was an  I.A.R. (Investment Advisor Representative) and earned multiple Certificates of Education through the A.I.C.P.A.  He was an extraordinary man who will be dearly missed.  David passed away surrounded by his immediate family on April 23, 2018 after a heroic two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Funeral Mass Saturday, April 28, The Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 10 A.M.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD.
