DAVID W. SCHLEICH, JR., age 91. Loving husband of 67 years to Edna (nee Tenhopen); beloved father of David (Jamie), Raymond (Sharon) and Julie Schleich (Christopher Wiesner); proud grandfather of Raymond (Donna), Janna Cavin (Adam), Kristie Gair (Stuart) and Sierra; great-grandfather of Case and Graham; son of the late Lois and David Schleich, Sr.,; son-in-law of the late Mabel "Mimi" Tenhopen; dear brother of the late Gene Smith; friend of many. U.S. Navy veteran - Korean Conflict. David was an avid baseball player who played with both the U.S. Navy and the Yankees' farm team as a "south paw" pitcher. He retired from Swagelock after 34 years of service.  David was a longtime member of the Denison Avenue United Church of Christ and the West Park United Church of Christ. He loved nature, gardening, woodworking, and especially his cat, Buddy. Passed away October 8, 2021. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR.
