DONALD R. BROKATE, passed away at age 88 on September 5, 2023.  He was the beloved partner of Karen Brown, the loving father of Marie Gesine Bement (Scott), Alison Breidigam (Fred) and Donald A. Brokate (Anthony).  He was a devoted grandfather to Joshua, Colleen, Andrew, Matthew and Nicholas as well as 6 great grandchildren.

Donald was a retired salesman from Block & Fields and Aero Sales.  He enjoyed woodworking and collecting vintage toys.  He was also an avid gun collector and a World War II afficionado.

Donald was in the Naval Reserves in his early twenties.  He learned to scuba dive and was able to travel to foreign countries.  His greatest accomplishment and joy was learning to fly and getting his pilot's license while in his sixties.  He was a colonel in the Commemorative Air Force Cleveland Wing and participated in their air shows.
