DORIS ANN NUNES

DORIS ANN NUNES (nee Butcher), age 86; of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026. Cherished daughter of Ethel Baker; loving mother of Beverly Murphy, Anne McGowin (Doug), Antoinette Turner (Peter), and the late Anthony; grandmother of Sean Faris (Kenzie), Riley McKenzie (Trenton), Colleen Murphy, Maria Nunes, Sebastian Nunes, Genevieve Turner, and Madeleine Turner; great-grandmother of Ryn, Bode, Zianya and Zaria; and dear friend of many.

Known to many from her years at Corky & Lenny’s; Doris enjoyed socializing with the East-side Ladies who Lunch; daily walks and activities with friends at Franciscan Village. She loved traveling, Vegas slot machines, scratch-off tickets, and The Bee Gees. Doris appreciated the simple pleasures of a fridge stocked with Hershey Bars, Coca Cola, and reading a good mystery. She enjoyed Tuesday’s at the Turners for dinner, and dessert was her favorite part of any gathering. She kept her phone charged at 100% no matter what because you never know when the power will go out. And if it was raining in the next state over she’d caution everyone to stay off the road. Doris was a lovely lady who will be dearly missed. Her family would like to thank Elizabeth Guion, Beatriz Mercado, and Holy Family Hospice for their love and care. Private services were held for the family.
