DORIS L. RANCATORE (nee Boocks), age 79, of Fairview Park, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born August 8, 1934 to Frank and Dorothy Boocks of Fertigs, PA. Doris attended Cranberry High School in Venango County, PA before moving to Cleveland at age 15 to visit and care for her older sister, Carol, stricken with appendicitis. Doris graduated from East High School in Cleveland in 1952 where she met her spouse of 59 years, Peter. Upon moving to Cleveland, OH, Doris worked at Rosen's Bakery, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and Halle's Department Store. She was also self-employed as a real estate agent for Szallar Realty of Rocky River, OH. Doris was a member of St. Angela Merici Parish in Fairview Park where she led many prayer groups. Doris will be remembered as a devoted, loving and loyal spouse and mother who created exceptional cuisine for family and visitors that included homemade ravioli, lasagna, marsala, pitzelles, sesame cookies and the best apple pie the world has ever known. Forever cherishing her kindness, spirit, determination and loving memories are her spouse, Peter; children, Lisa Bowser (Thomas) of Westlake, OH and Peter Rancatore (Monica) of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Christina, Marisa and Gina Bowser and Peter, Jessica and Augustine Rancatore; brothers Larry (Pat, deceased), Gary, Thomas (Darla), William (Linda) and Terry (Sue) Boocks of Venango County, PA; sisters Shirley Bupp (Earl) of Grand Rapids, MI, Kathleen Rowan (Henry) of Erie, PA, Elaine Stover (Kenneth) and Jean Rodgers (Arthur). She was preceded in death by her brother Howard, sister Carol Keffer of Madison, OH, her infant siblings Phil and Frank Boocks, Jr. and her parents.
