DOUGLAS P. ROOF, SR. (age 88), beloved husband of Terry (nee Scheidler); loving father of Douglas, Jr. (Catharine) and Brian (Cheryl); proud grandfather of Brendan, Lauren, McKenna, Mallory and Hailey; dear brother of Joanne Miller (Phillip, deceased), Linda Sheehan (William, deceased), and Sally Hoffmann (Christian); brother-in-law of Lois Woodward (William, deceased), Clifford Scheidler (deceased) (Charlotte), Jerry Scheidler (Marilyn) (both deceased), Bernie Scheidler (deceased) (Gloria), Dale Scheidler (Beverly) (both deceased), Marge Grguric (Robert) and Marti Vagi (deceased) (Robert); dearest uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. U.S.M.C. veteran achieving the rank of Major. Proud graduate of St. Edward High School Class of 1955 and the University of Notre Dame Class of 1959. Doug's passion for sales led to a successful career. In addition, he was an ardent longtime high school football official in Northeast Ohio. Passed away July 25, 2026. Funeral Mass Friday, July 31, St. Joseph Church (Avon Lake) at 10 A.M. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Inurnment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (Seville, OH) later date.
