DWIGHT EMERSON HAWKINS, age 92 entered into eternal rest on April 3,2026. He was born on October 23,1933 to Virgil Paul and Mary Edith (McGowan)Hawkins. He proudly served in The United States Air Force and graduated from Ohio Northern University in Ada Ohio. He married the love of his life Rose Marie Hagedorn with whom he shared 66 1/3 years. He worked as an accountant at Marathon Oil Company in Findlay,Ohio over 32 years. After his retirement he moved back to his hometown of Jackson Center Ohio to reside at Rose’s family farmhouse which they renovated for family gatherings. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family and his beloved dogs which could do no wrong.

He is survived by his wife Rose, favorite son Kevin (Rebecca), favorite daughter Julie Pressnell (Michael) sister Rosemary Christler, grandchildren:Melissa Ingraham (Daniel),Laura Hawkins, Melinda Tinney (Jeffrey), Holly Hawkins, Meredith Pressnell (Larry) Matthew Hawkins (Nele) great grandchildren Owen, Hazel, Joshua, Sirius , Charlotte, Marilyn and his dog Buddy Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Beulah Hawkins and Wanda Knasel. Dwight was a regular blood donor and donated over 15 gallons during his lifetime. He never lost his sense of humor and asked that everyone leave him a cookie in his casket in case he might need one. 

Funeral Service Wednesday, April 15, Emmanuel Lutheran Church (17714 Montra Rd. Jackson Center, OH 45334) at 11:00 AM. where friends may call from 10:00 AM. until time of service in the church. Interment Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church or Cypress Hospice, 2 Berea Commons, Suite 1, Berea, OH 44017.
