E. DONALD BAIN, age 81, of North Ridgeville passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Don was born on March 13, 1937 and lived in Fairview Park and Westlake before settling in North Ridgeville. He is survived by his wife Janice (nee George); three children Donald (Karen), Karen Cook (Jack) and Heather Sullivan (Michael); grandchildren Alexander, Madeline, Clair, Jacqueline, Adam, Colin, Sarah, Ryan and Delaney; brother David (Bonny); sister Betty Wallace and many nieces and nephews. A U.S. Army veteran and retired industrial and commercial real estate salesman are only two minor descriptions of Don Bain. He also had a passion for gardening, his faith and his family. Don belonged to the St. Clarence Parish in North Olmsted where he was a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a leader in the Cursillo Movement in Lorain County. In Don's spare time, he dedicated his talent of building to Habitat for Humanity. He began with building homes and then became instrumental in the development of the woodshop at the W. 110th St. location. Don donated many machines and tools to the shop and helped train volunteers to use the equipment. The team not only repaired damaged and broken furniture for resale but also created unique pieces from old unrepairable furniture. Funeral Mass Monday, October 29, The Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 11 A.M. where family will receive friends and relatives in the Gathering Room from 10 A.M.
