IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earl C.
Sterner
September 28, 1930 – June 12, 2024
Earl Sterner passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024. Born Sept. 28, 1930 to Earl and Edith Sterner (nee Takach). Loving cousin to many.
He was pre-deceased by his late wife Martha J. Sterner (nee Coad). He is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons Daniel J. McMillan, Bob Sterner, Peg Pountney (nee McMillan ), Pam Viancourt (nee Sterner), and Debbie Sariana (nee Sterner). Pre-deceased by daughter Mary Jane Smith (nee McMillan). Leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Earl grew up in Cleveland, OH. Loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Served in the US Army and was in Korea during the Korean war where he worked on the military trucks as a mechanic. He had a brilliant mind. In later years you couldn't keep him from tinkering with any and everything. He fixed most of his own stuff plus those of his children and grandchildren whenever they asked. He enjoyed family dinners and being surrounded by family during holidays. His favorite place was his vacation spot in Andover, OH where he loved to enjoy the nice weather in Spring, Summer and Fall. If you were looking for him on a weekend not in winter that's where he would be. We'll miss you Earl. You left a lasting impression on us all. This isn't goodbye. It's see you later.
