In Loving Memory Edward (Eddie) Lavelle Change of Address Notice

For those who don't know, my family wanted me to inform you that I've moved. I was received by my heavenly Father, who informed me that my new home was ready and that I could move in on February 4, 2026. My new home is a beautiful sight to behold. It is located in an exclusive area just off a serene celestial shore, and it sits behind a beautiful pearly white gate. Of course, the streets are paved with gold and every day is the Sabbath. There is Peace, Love, Joy and Happiness here. There is no more pain, strife or discontent. There is only sweet serenity everywhere. We all know that I could go on and on about my new home. One more thing, I already have my new wardrobe and have already been visiting with Mom Margarett & Papa Michael Lavelle, Meme, Marty, Brigid, Big Ed, Bob, Tracy and so many others. We are having a Hallelujah good time! My new address: Eddie Lavelle 777 Hallelujah Court God's Kingdom, Heaven P.S. Up here we don't need telephones, but just call GOD whenever you think you need to talk with me. HE can provide you with everything you need. If you don't have His number, HE is listed in the Bible on every page and HE is available 24/7!

Edward Lawrence Lavelle passed away February 4, 2026. He was born August 10,1947 in Cleveland OH to Michael and Margaret Lavelle both from Achill Island Co Mayo Ireland. Ed grew up in Cleveland and joined the Navy in 1968. For a time Ed and his brother Tom were stationed together in Charleston SC. Ed visited many places during his service in the Navy but it was the San Francisco area he loved and eventually settled after his Navy service. Ed met the love of his life Diane Lund while they both were helping friends move. They married June 22, 1985 and lived in Rohnert Park, CA. Through Ed's life he held various jobs from bartending and construction. In 1991 he found his niche, being a Chaplain at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he worked for 25 years. He received many expressions of appreciation from patients and their family for his compassion, love and helping them through difficult times. Ed enjoyed golfing and hiking. If you saw Ed's Irish eyes and face smiling AND he was vigorously rubbing his hands together you knew he was up to something (good or mischief).

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, brother Martin Lavelle and sister Brigid Reasoner. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, siblings Tom Lavelle, Pat Hammett, Eileen Lavelle, Mary Lavelle and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 11, 2026,  St. Joseph Church 1(2700 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136) at 11:30 AM. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS TUESDAY 4-7 PM.

The family asks any memorial donations be made to Cypress Hospice, 2 Berea Commons, Suite 1, Berea OH 44017 or a charitable organization of your choice.
