EDWARD OWEN McADAMS, SR., age 92, passed away February 24, 2008 at his home in Cleveland. Beloved husband of the late Jane (nee Miltner) for 63 years; devoted father of Maureen J. Maruna (James), Timothy E. (Sylvia), Margaret M., Terrence A., Edward O, Jr. (Maureen); loving grandfather of James, Brian (Denise), Mary, Joseph (Nicole) Maruna; Peggy (Todd) Kleckner; Stephen, Elizabeth and Meghan McAdams; Bridget (Michael) Balla, Quinn McAdams; Clara Jane and John Maruna; and Owen Kleckner. Beloved uncle of many. Born January 4, 1916 to Edward D. and Lillian (Allen) McAdams. Grandson of Owen McAdams of Ireland. He was preceded in death by his siblings Margaret Jones (Lou), Lillian Stetsko (Jack), John J., Loretta Dill (Jack), and Dorothy. He attended school at St. Patrick on Bridge and West High. Ed and Jane married following Pearl Harbor before he enlisted in the Navy where he served in the South Pacific. Maureen was two years old when Ed returned at the end of WWII. Retired Lieutenant from the Cleveland Fire Department in 1977, he worked in maintenance at Our Lady of Angels Parish and then St. Ignatius High School, where he received the Seal of Loyola Award in 1996. Ed was a devoted father and husband and a strong, selfless, loving and caring person who will be missed greatly. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 28, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland).
