EDWARD W. PEURA

EDWARD W. "EDDIE" PEURA, age 50, of Richmond Heights, Ohio, passed away on May 16th, 2026 .

Born on February 19th, 1976, in Fairview Park, Ohio, Eddie grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, where he attended St James elementary school. Later he attended Lakewood High School, which is where he first developed an interest in the trades.

Eddie was always good with his hands, and he took pride in assuming the role of the Peura family’s “general contractor”. Always available and willing to help family and friends with home repairs and renovations, Eddie could always be counted on to lend his expertise and elbow grease, no matter how big or small the project.

Eddie enjoyed travelling with friends, and his travels led him to Chicago, Illinois, where he eventually setup residence. While in Chicago, Eddie continued to develop and expand his skill set as a contractor, and eventually became a licensed plumber. Eddie stayed in Chicago for over 15 years, and enjoyed hosting visitors from Ohio, and showing them Chicago.

Eventually, Eddie’s love for family and friends brought him back to Ohio, where he joined the Plumbers Union Local 55. Most notably, Eddie worked on the Cleveland Clinic Foundation expansion project. Eddie loved his work, and he also enjoyed the Cleveland nightlife, which gave him an opportunity to reconnect with old friends.

Eddie is survived by his father, Ronald Peura, his siblings Nick (Nicole), Erik, and his twin, sister, Elizabeth. He is uncle to Harmony, Taylor, and Morgan, and is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia (Urbin) Peura.

Memorial Service Saturday, June 20, at 12 Noon in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS where friends may call 11:00 AM. until time of service.
