EDWARD J. SZPAK, SR., age 85, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Sciranko) and the late Tina (nee Morana). Edward was a loving father to Edward J. Jr (deceased), Raymond (deceased), Patti Daughtery (Ed), Donna Baffa (Matt), Susan Robertson (Tom); was also a supportive father figure to Suzanne's children Scott Balser (Kim) and Bruce Balser (Leslie).

Ed Szpak, the man, the legend!  Avid golfer, incredible friend to all that knew him.  Ed would drop everything to help someone in need.  His resourcefulness in fixing anything was impressive!  Ed grew up in a family with 5 siblings: Tony (Ellie), John (Therese) (both deceased), David (Bonnie), Joann Shepley (David), and Joe (Keek) (both deceased).

He had a long career with NCR (National Cash Register Corporation), during a particular time with the transition from mechanical and electronic systems to computerization.  During this time, Ed raised his family with his first love Tina. His legacy will live on with his family who loved him, including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service Thursday, September 14, at 12 Noon in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., where friends may call THURSDAY 10 A.M.-12 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
