ELEANOR MAE SONESON (nee King), age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 11, 2022. She was born May 24, 1938 in East Concord, Vermont. She had a great life with her husband of 62 years, Leo Ross Soneson, Jr. She was a caring mother to Leo Soneson III (Jody), Scott Soneson (Dawn), Craig Soneson (Mary), Kirk Soneson, Andrea French (Dave) and Neal Soneson (Missy). She dearly loved her time with all her 17 grandkids: Ashley (Jim), Kelsie (Ryan), Melanie (Brian), Kevin, Joseph, Jake, Nolan, Mackenzie, Jaret, Maggie, Brett, Chloe, Jenna, Jack, Grant, Logan and Leo and 3 great-grandkids: Henry, Calvin and Wesley.

Eleanor is survived by her half-brothers Bill Dennen and Bob Dennen. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilfred King and Beulah Dennen (nee Parks) and her stepfather John Dennen.

Eleanor went to business college and worked for a law firm as a secretary. She raised her six children with enduring patience. She put her whole heart into her family. She was a great seamstress. She made children's clothing, suits and dresses including her daughter's and daughters'-in-law wedding dresses. She also made many bridesmaids and flower girls dresses for family members. She worked as an aide at Lakewood City Schools.

Eleanor loved to attend all her children's and grandchildren's events. She loved to read. She enjoyed traveling with Leo and always made time to get back to New England.

Eleanor may have been a quiet person but kind and very positive and thought the best of everyone. She always put others before herself.

Please join us in celebrating Eleanor's life at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2022, 4 P.M. – 7 P.M.  There will be a short service at 6:30 P.M.
