ERIN M. CARRICK

Listen to Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Erin Margaret Carrick, who passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 36.

Born on June 13, 1990, at Southwest Hospital in Berea, Ohio, Erin was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Ann Carrick (Lang) and Everett James Carrick Jr. She was a devoted sister to Megan Albertini (Carrick) and Katie Carrick, and a cherished daughter, granddaughter, niece, aunt, and friend whose warmth, intelligence, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

For 18 years, Erin was a dedicated member of the Berea Dairy Queen family, where she was affectionately known as "Smalls." Through her hard work, loyalty, and caring spirit, she built lasting friendships and became a beloved presence to coworkers and customers alike.

Erin was exceptionally intelligent and possessed a lifelong love of learning. An avid reader, she found joy in books and was a passionate supporter of fan fiction communities, where she enjoyed discovering and sharing stories with others. She generously shared her talents by tutoring mathematics, helping others gain confidence through her patience and encouragement.

She loved music and was rarely happier than when singing along to her favorite country songs or dancing with family and friends. Her favorite color was blue, a fitting reflection of the calm, caring, and comforting presence she brought into the lives of those around her.

A true homebody at heart, Erin found joy in life's simple pleasures. Living in North Ridgeville with her mother and sister Katie, she cherished their daily routines, conversations, and time spent together. The bond they shared was one of deep love, friendship, and unwavering support.

Among Erin's greatest joys were her niece, Avalyn Albertini (11), and nephew, Andrew Albertini (9). She adored them both and looked forward to spending more time with them, watching them grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating cherished memories together. The love she had for Avalyn and Andrew was immeasurable, and they will carry it with them always.

More than anything, Erin will be remembered for her selfless heart. She was the kind of person who always gave more than she took. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing her knowledge, lending a helping hand, or simply being there when someone was in need, Erin consistently put others before herself. Her generosity, compassion, and genuine concern for those around her were among her greatest gifts.

Erin leaves behind her loving parents, Elizabeth Carrick and Everett Carrick Jr.; her sisters, Megan Albertini and Katie Carrick; her brother-in-law, Jeffrey Albertini her beloved niece, Avalyn Albertini; her cherished nephew, Andrew Albertini; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, and members of her extended Dairy Queen family who will miss her deeply.

Erin’s Dairy Queen family invites anyone who knew her to meet on Tuesday November 3, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Berea Dairy Queen to share memories and tie them to the fence.

A Memorial Mass honoring Erin's life will be held on November 5, 2026, at 11:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Berea, Ohio. Following Mass a Celebration of Life will occur at Tony K’s restaurant in Berea, Ohio where family and friends are invited to gather to honor Erin’s life, share memories, and celebrate the love, kindness, and joy she brought to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Erin's memory.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we are grateful for the love, laughter, wisdom, and kindness Erin shared throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and in the memories that will forever be held close by those who loved her.

Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.
