ERNESTINE L. HUMEL Died peacefully in her sleep March 21 at the age of 93. Born in Cleveland on July 12, 1913 to the late Louise (nee Delemea) and Joseph Humel; she was the much-loved younger sister to the late Elbert, Arnold, and Joseph Humel; devoted and caring aunt of Joyce Humel (Michael McCann), Nancy Humel Montwieler (William), and the late Jean Humel Gerace (John), and William Humel (Ellie); great aunt of Jim (Laura), Paul, and John Gerace (Kandy), Jane Gerace Granzier (Chris), Brad Humel and Liz Humel Navis (Greg), Aaron Balogh, Nicholas Humel McCann, Katherine and Jacob Montwieler, and the late Alex Humel McCann; cherished great great aunt of 14. Erna spent many years as an assistant buyer of children's clothing at the Taylor Co. and later worked at May Co. headquarters, where she was known for her ready smile, helpful demeanor, and kindness to her many colleagues, friends, and clients. We have all been touched by her caring ways. Funeral Mass Saturday March 24 St. Angela Merici Church at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
