EVELYN S. KING (nee Smith), age 102, beloved wife of the late Robert K., Sr.; loving mother of Robert K. King, Jr., Patricia E. King (deceased), Melinda M. Slavik and Sandra J. Vetrovsky (Todd); proud Grammie of Robert K. III, Traci E. Dziatkowicz (Dan Born), Brett M. Dziatkowicz, John R. Slavik (Lisandra), Christina M. Slavik-Trusty (Toni), Sean R. Vetrovsky (Carrie) and Alexandra R. Borders (Andrew); great-grandmother of eight; daughter of the late Mary L. and J. Edward Smith of Watertown, Connecticut; sister of the late Ruth Marion Gleason and Edna Mae Van Riper; aunt and great-aunt of many.  Mrs. King worked for Fairview High School for 25 years as the school secretary.  Passed away October 25, 2023, surrounded by her family.  All Services will be private for the family.  Inurnment Lakewood Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Evelyn had many passions throughout her life. She loved her family unconditionally bringing much joy and comfort to her loved ones. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bridge, volunteering at the Rocky River Senior Citizen Center and also loved traveling throughout the US and Europe. She will be be greatly missed.
