"FRED" OPPENLANDER, age 90, beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Pangrac); loving father of Kathy Tabor (Tom) and Kris Simecek (Gary); proud grandfather of Michael Simecek (Kay), Gregory Simecek (Clara), Steven Simecek (Rachel), Eric Simecek and Courtnie and Emma Park; great-grandfather of Lydia, Owen, and baby boy on the way. Loving extended family including Monika Mazur (John), Krisztina Tabor, Tamas Tabor (Julia) and Matthew Tabor (Emily), Lucas, Lily, Jozsef and Nora. Brother of the late Donald (Mary), Dorothy Work (Sam), Lloyd (Marie), Lois Beetler (Bob), Janet Lindsay (Tom) and Phyllis Sampsell (Al); uncle and great uncle of many. U.S. Army veteran. Passed away surrounded by his family February 15, 2023. All Services Monday, February 20, Ascension Lutheran Church at 10:30 A.M. and where family will receive friends one-half hour prior to service.
