GEORGE R. BLAHA, age 78, beloved husband of the late Mary Terese (nee Kahl); loving father of Karen Kalis (Chris) of Dallas,TX, George V. (Lora), Jane Vitou (Jim), Anne Watson (Michael) of Houston, TX and Ellen Minerd (Brian); grandfather of 15; son of the late Genevieve (nee Gavin) and George L.; brother of Mary Ann Leonard (Tom, deceased) and John (Nancy); uncle and great-uncle of many. GRB, as he was known by all who loved him, lived the Ignatian motto of being a man for others. He did so much for so many, but few people knew of this part of GRB. Most knew him as a shrewd businessman, a tough competitor on the court, a devotee of Great Lakes Beer and a consummate gentleman. The son of a politician, GRB never missed an opportunity to make a connection. But unlike many politicians, GRB was as honest and true as they come. He is happy to be reunited with Sweet T and together they will enjoy walking through eternity. Safe home GRB. Passed away January 25, 2018.
