It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George McPherson, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and accomplished business owner, who left us at the age of 47 after a courageous battle with cancer.
George departed this world on January 10, 2024. His untimely departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Melanie; their two loving children, Alex and William; his father and mother, David and Dunia McPherson; his sister Rita Wittine (Tom), mother-in-law; Christina Timura, sister-in-law; Laura Goren (Max), and brother-in-law; Don Timura (Sandy), along with nephew Nathan and nieces, Gabrielle, Kayla, and Sarah who all adored him. Family was the cornerstone of George's life, and he cherished every moment spent with his wife and children. Beyond time with family, George's life was marked by a deep passion for golf that transcended the boundaries of a mere hobby. He loved the sport, spending countless hours on the green, forging lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts, and imparting his love for the game to friends and his children.
Professionally, George was a successful business owner. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create and build several thriving businesses that contributed to the community and provided opportunities for many. His dedication, hard work, and innovative ideas inspired all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, George will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart, always extending a helping hand to those in need. Whether supporting the less fortunate or assisting friends and family, George exemplified the true meaning of compassion.
In addition to his business judgments and generous endeavors, George was a loving friend, mentor, and confidant. His infectious laughter, genuine smile, and wise counsel endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in Christ's love, dear George, and may your drives always find the perfect fairway in the great beyond. You will be dearly missed, but your memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing you. Your legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will continue to inspire us all.
