GERALD R. "Gerry" FREI, age 87, North Ridgeville, OH passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the company of his family.

Gerry was born to parents, George and Mary Frei (nee Katala), on February 4, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio.  Gerry graduated from Fairview High School and received a degree in mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve School of Engineering.  Gerry was hired, after receiving his degree, by the Weatherhead Company where he worked until his retirement in 1998.

Gerry was the devoted husband of 59 years to Johanna Frei (nee Wulf); cherished father of Susan (Carl) Martin and David (Michelle) Frei; beloved grandfather of Katie, Kellie and Morgan; brother of Shirlei Wasacz, late Millie Conard, and late Glennie O'Brian.

Gerry loved working challenging jigsaw puzzles, solving sudoku and crossword puzzles, watching old Westerns, watching Ohio State and Browns football on the weekends, and playing and watching golf.  Most of all Gerry loved his family. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
