GLENN ARTHUR COLLINS, born January 4, 1944, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 1, 2026 at the age of 82 after battling dementia and leiomyosarcoma in his final years of life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Karen Goodrich; his father, Arthur James Collins; his brother, Brian Collins; and his grandson, Taylor Collins. He is survived by his wife, Jane McNamara Collins; his brother, Gary Collins (Judy Collins); his sister, Nancy Collins Irwin (John Irwin); his children, Craig Collins, Lisa Collins, Shawn Collins (Julie Collins), Karen Wilson (Mark Wilson) and Tina Praino (Adrian Praino); his grandchildren Emilee Collins, Kylee Collins, Madee Collins, Cassidee Collins, Meghan Collins and Steven Wilson; and his great-granddaughter, Violet Collins.
Glenn was a devoted husband, extraordinary father, and loving grandfather. He was the lovinghusband of Jane Collins, whom he spent 40 cherished years of marriage with.
Glenn’s greatest joy was his family. He showed up to every occasion, sporting event andgathering with his Canon camera in hand, capturing ever moment they shared. Notably deemed“Papa-razzi”. He was a handy man at heart, from building patios and bathrooms from theground up to uncrossing electrical wires, he knew what each button did and where every wireconnected.
Glenn grew up in Westlake, Ohio and graduated from Westlake High School (Class of 1962) where he was a quarterback on the varsity football team and a pitcher on the baseball team. After a brief enrollment at Bowling Green State University, Glenn went on to pursue his careerat Society Bank and then with Republic LTV Steel, later retiring from AmeriGas Propane.
Glen grew up spending his summers boating on Lake Erie, later giving his grandchildren a childhood to remember at Fort Firelands campground. Trips to Florida and Put-In-Bay were annual excursions. He celebrated each Christmas making homemade cookies with his grandchildren, picked his grandchildren up from school each day, threw winter pool parties in the basement, spent Sunday mornings enjoying breakfast at the local diner, and was often seen shoveling snow in shorts and a tee shirt. You could always find him cracking a cold Pepsi, tossing a handful of M&Ms to the dogs, getting donuts or chocolate chip cookies from the local bakery and finding the nearest chocolate milkshake. A simple man who found joy in the smallest moments and made sure each moment would never be forgotten.
Glen will be remembered as a true family man, the very fabric of the Collins Family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love, laughter, memories and traditions he created will live on through the Collins Family, and everyone fortunate enough to know and love him.
