IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gloria M.
Coury
April 17, 1938 – November 16, 2025
GLORIA M. COURY (nee Francis) Beloved daughter of the late K.J. and Selma (nee Shikany) Francis; cherished sister of Mary Ann Abraham (deceased) (Michel, deceased), Fran Reynolds (Brady) and Adele Costa (Angelo, deceased); devoted wife of 43 years to the late Robert M. Coury; loving mother of Francine, Gogi Welch (Sean), Bob, Joe (Pam), Mike (Diane), Jay (Maureen) and Phil (Kathy)' proud "Sito" of Erin (Jimmy), Sean (deceased), Shannon, Brendan, Dylan, Allison (John), Rob, Natalie, Mike, Jim, Meg, Dominic and Phillip; great "Sito" of Violet, Gwen and Rowan.
Gloria's life was rooted in faith and family. She quietly, diligently, and lovingly ensured that each of her children, grandchildren, and all who entered her home felt welcome and cherished. She formed a unique bond with each person she encountered.
She was best known for her beloved "Sito Sundays," when she would cook for the entire family, extended relatives, and friends . Gloria never knew how many would show up, but there was always enough food and love to go around. Even when she could no longer cook herself, she guided her children to carry on the tradition, instilling in them the importance of gathering and sharing time together.
Gloria's faith was unwavering, with a deep devotion to Mary. She turned to prayer for her family, friends, and community, teaching her children and grandchildren that even when you cannot physically help someone, you can always pray for them. Her love of God and her devotion to her family defined her greatest roles in life: being a wife, sister, mother and Sito.
We give our heartfelt love and appreciation to Anna for becoming part of the family and caring for mom for years. Also, to Donna and Jenn, your loving care allowed mom to remain at home until her passing. Finally, to the caregivers of Cypress Hospice, we thank you for your caring support of mom in her final days.
