FREEMAN (nee Duraney) age 83; beloved wife of 60yrs to Timothy J.; loving mother of John (Jeanette), Timothy (Karen), Mary Brigid-deceased, Michael (Tana), Patrick (Mindie), Mary Kathleen Makee (Michael), Anne Hanzel (Donald), Brendan and Molly Freeman-Medvik (Mike); proud grandma of Sarah, Stephanie, Sean, Samantha, Jonah, Morgan, Laura, Jackie, Colleen, Maureen, Matthew, Thomas, Grace, David, Kelly, Timothy, Connor, Jamie, Michael, Daniel, Ryan, William, Isobel and Anna; great grandma of Ava, Teagan, Jillian, Dahlia, Evelyn, Josie, and one on the way; sister of Patricia Paul (Rick-deceased), Michael Duraney (Jane) and the late William and Steven Duraney; beloved aunt and great aunt of many. Passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on June 28, 2025. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for her Funeral Mass TUESDAY, JULY 8, The Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd. North Olmsted) at 10 A.M. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD. MONDAY, JULY 7 from 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Family Hospice 6707 State Rd. Parma, OH. 44134.
Gloria graduated from Magnificat High School in 1960 and went on to take vows with the order of the Humility of Mary. She earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology at Ursuline College. Gloria was a fierce advocate for children and adoption, co-founding Concern For Children, assisting families with foreign adoption. She was defined by her love and dedication to family and children. She was an accomplished artist and a devoted special education teacher. Gloria is loved by so many and was a remarkable woman, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher of many things. She will be missed greatly, but always in our hearts.
