IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory Lee
Ratica
September 5, 1953 – January 22, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Lee Ratica, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Greg passed away peacefully in the early morning on January 22, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by the love of his family.
Greg is survived by his beautiful and supportive wife of 41 years, Mary (nee O'Neill), and their three daughters: Kaitlin (Michael) Armagno, Sarah (Eric) Sebor, and Megan (Kevin) Geraci. He was a proud grandfather to four beautiful granddaughters: Vivian (6), Nora (5), Allegra (5), and Camille (1) who filled his life with joy, laughter, and a lot of noise. He was the dear brother of Dennis (Adele) Ratica.
Greg dedicated 42 years of his professional life to the insurance industry, where he was highly respected for his commitment, expertise, and integrity. His career was marked by meaningful relationships and contributions that left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of work, Greg was a man of varied interests and passions. Greg was an avid cyclist often training with daily 20+ mile rides and he proudly completed the VeloSano 50 mile in the Summer of 2022. Greg was always working to perfect his golf game and was thrilled when he shot par in June of 2023, but his best rounds were with his wife Mary in the Florida sunshine. Always curious and eager to learn he greatly enjoyed his side hobby of day trading and exploring the world of securities. Above all, he loved all the memories created traveling, especially those at his Florida home.
To those who knew him, Greg was a source of inspiration and unwavering support. His strength, wisdom, and kind heart touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family and friends.
