H.E. TERRANCE PRATHER (AKA Entertainer/Performer "Mother Racheal"), born in Akron, OH on July 18, 1945. Lived in Akron for 31 years, attended South High School and Akron University. He worked at Akron City and St. Thomas Hospitals, as well as First National Bank before joining the U.S. Navy. He moved to Cleveland in October 1976 and worked at Fairview General Hospital and was a Visiting Nurse/Companion for VNA until his early retirement in 1998. U.S. Navy Veteran serving his country in Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines. He was very dedicated to the U.S. Armed Services. Mr. Prather was a 2004 graduate of Cuyahoga Community College with an Associates Degree in Small Business Management. He was put on this earth to serve in the medical profession, which he did for over 33 years. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Prather was preceded in death by his companion/partner of 21 years and 7 months, Terry McIntyre in 2008, best friend Q104 DJ John Petras in 2002, grandmother Mary McCoy Paris in 1972, sister Joann Prather Khonele in 2005, blood brother Lee A. Orne in 2005, father Wm. K. Prather in 2008, brother Charles Prather in 2010 and mother Lula McCoy Prather in 2012. He is survived by his best friends, Sandra Jefferson and Steve Vay (Cleveland, OH), Jeff J. Caldwell (Dellroy, OH), sister-in-law Jane Orne (Parma, OH), niece Kira Orne Puckett (OK) and nephew Jimmy Puckett (Los Angeles, CA), first cousin Terry Lee Sims (Bakersfield, CA), second cousin Karen and David Palmer (OH), Ed Bertram (Shelby, OH), 3 Goddaughters, 6 great-Godchildren, brother-in-law Donald Khonele (Fairlawn, OH) and so many other lovable, kind, caring friends. Mr. Prather's favorite quote was "Nothing lasts forever, not even love, but when you love the Lord with your heart and soul, that is all the love that one needs to have true friendship, love, companionship with others. Therefore, live each day as it is your last. As no one ever knows when the Lord above will call him/her to the pearly gates of heaven where there is only peace and joy in the clouds of freedom.
