HELEN HUDAK (nee Metarko) went to the Lord on March 12, 2008 peacefully with her family at her side. Daughter of the late John and Anna Metarko, she was born in Taylor, PA on November 12, 1922. On January 25, 1947, she married Andrew Hudak, a blessed union which lasted for 57 years until his passing in 2004. Helen was one with the Lord and the Blessed Virgin. She lived her life as she prayed, with great intensity. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who left a legacy of her love, wisdom and faith, which will never be forgotten. She had a wondrous love of nature, not only for what it brought to her table from her garden, but also God's creation of beautiful flowers and animals. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her great inner strength, her intense love for her family and the kindness she showed all she came in contact with. Her passing will leave her family with an irreplaceable loss. Her childen include Andrew Hudak, Sr. (Patricia) of Rome, NY, Thomas Hudak (Linda) of Cleveland, and Marian Knill (James) of Strongsville. Loving grandchildren include June Patterson of NY, Andrew Hudak, Jr. (Rachel) of SC, Thomas Hudak (fiancee, Jill Cooper) of VA, Brian Knill of Toledo, Jennifer Hudak of VA, and Laura and Kathryn Knill of Strongsville. Great-Grandmother of Cameron, Oliva and Brieanna. Sister of Ann Buchman and the late Michael, George, John, Joseph, Mary Metarko and Mary Grega. Sister-in-law of John Grega. Aunt of many.
